BOOTECH ICE BATHTUBS

We offer three options depending on your needs: If you are looking for full lying immersion, an XL rectangular design, and maximum thermal resistance, choose BC-Antártica (premium range with up to 400 L capacity). If you prefer a professional cylindrical barrel design for daily use, your model is BC-Iceland (mid-range, durable design with vertical immersion). If you are looking for your first experience, instant setup without inflation, and full portability, choose BC-Norway (entry-level range, ultra-lightweight at just 8 kg). Still unsure? Contact us and we’ll guide you immediately.

For beginners, we recommend starting with water temperatures between 10 and 15 °C for 1 to 2 minutes. As your body adapts, you can gradually lower the temperature to more advanced ranges (between 3 and 8 °C) and extend the session duration. Never exceed 10 minutes per session to avoid the risk of hypothermia.

To maximize muscle and mental recovery, it is recommended that the water in the ice bath be between 10°C and 15°C. Users with more experience in cryotherapy or the Wim Hof Method can safely lower the temperature to as low as 5°C.

Between 2 and 5 minutes is the optimal range to safely obtain all the benefits of cold therapy (such as improved muscle recovery and dopamine release). Start with 1 minute and gradually increase; staying longer than recommended does not provide additional benefits.

For athletes and regular users, the ideal frequency is 3 to 5 times per week. You can use it daily if your body tolerates it well, always paying attention to how you feel after high-intensity training sessions.

The most common and cost-effective method is to use ice packs, ice cubes, or blocks of water frozen in homemade molds. Thanks to the multi-layer thermal insulation of our walls and the use of the included protective lid, the water retains its cold temperature passively for much longer than in conventional tubs, significantly reducing the amount of ice you need to add in each session.

Our bathtubs come with protective covers to keep out dirt from outside. We recommend changing the water every 2–3 weeks if used by a single person.

It can be easily filled using a garden hose or buckets from any tap. To ensure optimal hygiene, we recommend changing the water once a week during summer, while in winter it can be kept for several weeks thanks to lower temperatures slowing down bacterial growth. In addition, the interior can be easily cleaned with warm water and mild soap when emptied, and it is fully suitable for the use of Epsom salts.

Yes, all our models are designed with ultra-durable materials suitable for both indoor and outdoor use under a wide range of weather conditions. However, to maximise cold retention and protect the finishes over the long term, we recommend placing it ideally in a shaded area (such as a porch or covered terrace) and always keeping the protective cover or thermal lid on when not in use.
